On the occasion when a consultation with a specialist is needed, our physicians maintain an extensive consultant base of area physicians with whom they have first hand knowledge and an excellent working relationship. Our staff will gladly assist you with scheduling those appointments.

SBMA participates in the hospitalist program at both Harlingen Medical Center and Valley Baptist Medical Center. A hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the care of patients in the hospital. He coordinates your care and keeps your regular doctor informed while you are hospitalized. He will have you follow up with your regular doctor when you are discharged.
